Saint Rose

Saint Rose is situated in southern Mercer County, in Marion Township. State Route 119 runs through the community. Saint Rose is in the Marion Local school district.

HISTORY
In 1938, settlers of the area built a log church and named it Saint Rosa Catholic Church. On June 29, 1854, a plat by the name of Rose Garden was recorded. The local post office was named Saint Rosa. Eventually, the settlement became known as Saint Rose.

The early businesses in Saint Rose included an insurance company, mercantile business, general store, saloon and a stock farm. Many families made their living by farming.
